Background
Background
Our journey with the Atelier series was to encapsulate the essence of small batch, experimental wines through a branding system that spoke both of tradition and experimentation. Our challenge lay in elevating these wines to an ultra-premium tier, reflective of their meticulous crafting and experimental nature.

THE ESSENCE OF ATELIER
In the world of winemaking, each choice reflects the soul of the vineyard. For the Atelier range, this meant sourcing diverse Pinot Clones, Shiraz, and Pinot Muscat from around the world, each bringing a unique story to the bottle. Our design had to mirror this uniqueness—blending classical European wine aesthetics with a journalistic touch that allowed the winemaker to share both the technical specifics and personal narratives of each wine.

We selected a mix of monospaced fonts paired with timeless serif typefaces, echoing the meticulous notes of a winemaker’s journal juxtaposed with the classic grace of European labels.

THE ESSENCE OF ATELIER
This typographic strategy was not just a design choice but a narrative tool, allowing each label to convey the field notes' authenticity alongside the elegance of age-old wine traditions. The brand logotype sits at the top of each label, so underpinning each variant and wine type – allowing drinkers to collect the varieties and easily compare the clones from across the globe.

"Working with Clint at TON Studio has been a remarkable experience. His ability to transform our brief into packaging that's not just beautiful but also captures the essence of the Atelier range is exceptional. The design resonates deeply with our customers, and while it's still early days, the enthusiastic response hints at a positive impact on our sales."
